Tribal Jury

Tribal Jury is a four piece highly experimental instrumental band. Influences range from Joe Zawinal to Billy Cobbin to Salif Keita to Jeff Beck and so on and so on... you could call it a funk fusion outfit but the boys in the band aren't quite comfortable with that pigeon hole.

Members of the band are:

Danny Susnjar guitar
Daniel Susnjar drums
Vince Linardi bass
Ben Chase keyboards

We are mostly full time in the music industry, running around like mad hatters collaborating in different projects. So the demand of making money solely from Tribal Jury doesn't exist. This band has become a manifestation of the members true love for music. We're not bound by the parameters set by the music business. This liberates the styles and influences thrown into the pot.

All the members are well accomplished musos but chops aren't the issue either. Feel is the driving force, mood and emotive grooves. The many influences of traditional an ethnic music come into light as they are fused in a dynamic and freeform way.

The first available album was one jammed in complete impromptu in the studio. After a long night of recording one of the more arranged numbers (to be released) we had to let off steam and jam. Thus "Trapped by the Groove" was born. Steve Susnjar pulled off a great mix of a great performance at "The Shed" and we edited the DAT from 2 hours down to one continual 36 minute epic at Blaam studios, no overdubs. Lovers of music begin to even appreciate the human element of non-perfection, as what is in this album.

Later it will accompany the more planned album as a bonus CD but it is available now through Tectonic Music by email order. Just click here to go to the ordering info page.
